As 2010 draws to a close, I can’t help but look back over this last year and reminisce. I’ve moved toward a healthier lifestyle; tried, failed and sometimes succeeded at learning new things; gained friends, lost friends, rekindled friendships; and took a leap of faith and started writing. I am grateful for each and every experience, even those that were unpleasant or painful, because it’s these experiences that help define me and shape my dreams and my future.
As 2011 begins, I have resolved not to make any resolutions. I have, however, decided to work on simplifying my life by minimizing the distractions that keep me focused on trivialities instead of the things I believe are truly important. One of the things that has recently become important to me is sharing my thoughts and ideas through the creative outlet of this blog. And in the spirit of looking back on the past before boldly forging ahead into a new year of opportunities and adventure, I would like to recap the posts I enjoyed writing the most.
Ok, fine, I suppose that last one didn’t really flex my creative writing muscles, but I like it, so sue me.
